Naturewatch Foundation is a registered charity that has been speaking out on behalf of animals for over 25 years. Our Mission is to end animal cruelty and advance animal welfare standards around the world.

Our current campaigns are:
• Badger Persecution
• Puppy Farming,
• Animal Experiments
• Cruelty-Free Shopping
• Ukraine – Stop Animal Abuse
• Ukraine – Stray Animal Welfare
• World Animal Day

In order to achieve our aims we:
• Campaign peacefully against animal abuse to raise public awareness of particular issues and influence public opinion.
• Lobby to improve animal protection legislation when it’s deemed to be the best way to support a particular issue.
• Coordinate humane education and public awareness campaigns to help raise animal welfare standards. Through education we can help create a new culture of respect and sensitivity, to make this world a fairer place for animals.
• Provide support for the improvement and development of animal welfare standards worldwide, with a particular focus on pioneering projects that directly improve the lives of animals in Ukraine.
• Publish a Compassionate Shopping Guide as we are strong believers in encouraging the public to lead a cruelty-free lifestyle through conscious, ethical and cruelty free commerce.
• Coordinate the World Animal Day movement (October 4) to raise the status of animals and improve welfare standards around the globe.

Naturewatch Foundation may have discovered the ideal platform for connecting to skilled volunteers

Jul 04 2018 · Caroline Ruane: NATUREWATCH FOUNDATION
Charities rely on solid volunteers to support their aims and Naturewatch Foundation is no different. We have often felt that we have to manage with whoever we can find and whilst we have engaged some incredibly dedicated and capable volunteers we are always seeking more support. We have also seen that people are so restricted with their time and availability mostly due to their work commitments. Volunteers drop off but are then difficult to replace. We were delighted to meet with the team at Vtues who have talked about how the problem can be resolved through their platform. They will be able to match us with a multitude of volunteers according to skill, availability, location and passions. They have explained that they do this first and foremost by connecting with businesses and their employees and help introduce paid volunteering leave. Their employees that want to volunteer are then available to take up roles they are most suited to via the matching abilities on the Vtues platform. We are so excited to be part of this Pilot Program for connecting with volunteers and also to expect greater exposure for our campaigns to the wider Vtues community.
